Storing preserved goods after opening them

Preserved foods, after opening, have the tendency to develop mildew and can easily rot in contact with the air. To prevent that from happening you must always fill the container with water after removing its contents. If the food is canned you should also move the product to a glass jar since metal normally oxidises after a few days deteriorating the taste and properties of the food.
